Snowmobiling in Jackman, Maine

Jackman maintains ITS trails running north, south, and east making it possible for riders to visit a number of areas and return in the same day. Jackman is considered Maine's "hub of snowmobiling." Three groomers running six nights per week is one of the reasons Jackman has the best area trails. With an average snowfall of over ten feet each winter, Jackman has the snow to make snowmobilers happy. Restaurants, Snowmobile dealers, Gas, and Bars, are all in the town and available by snowmobile.

Great Trails…

Jackman is committed to great trails and always adding new and better equipment! The Border Riders Club does not depend on volunteer drivers, instead, it employs up to six drivers who spend over 600 hours making sure trails are in excellent condition.

Weekends are the busiest time on all trails. Groomers go out almost every night but after a busy weekend, the trails can get a little rough. If you are looking for the best conditions possible with light traffic, weekdays are the way to go.

After a great day of riding you will be ready for a good night's sleep. While on vacation you should not have to settle for less than what you want. Bishop's Country Inn Motel is Jackman's newest accommodation. A knowledgeable, friendly staff can answer any questions about trail conditions and they point you in the right direction to make your visit a pleasant one. Bishop's Store is Jackman's only non-resident and resident State of Maine agent offering snowmobile registrations. Snowmobile clothing, oils, plugs, belts, maps, and many other snowmobile needs. Bishop's Country Inn/Motel is located on the ITS trail and is the area’s most popular accommodation choice. The trail is right on the side of the motel and the groomer turns around in our yard often! Bishop's is the only accommodation in the area that offers king or queen-size beds, 100% non-smoking rooms, adjoining rooms, handicapped rooms, and free continental breakfast. This is just some of the reasons that snowmobilers keep coming back year after year. Toll-free reservations 1-207-668-3231.
